Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using JobApplier.ai ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
JobApplier.ai is an automated job application assistant. The Service includes a local agent (CLI), cloud API, web dashboard, and AI-powered intelligence features (resume tailoring, cover letter generation, ATS scoring). The agent submits job applications on your behalf using information you provide.
3. Account Responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys
- You must provide accurate personal information in your profile
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit applications containing false or misleading information
- Use the Service to spam employers or circumvent ATS anti-abuse measures
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
- Share, resell, or sublicense your account or API keys
- Exceed the rate limits or usage caps of your subscription tier
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
5. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We do not offer refunds for partial months, but you may cancel at any time.
6. Free Tier
The Free plan includes limited daily applications and API calls. We reserve the right to modify Free tier limits at any time. Free accounts inactive for 90 days may be suspended.
7. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses AI (OpenAI) to generate tailored resumes, cover letters, and form answers. You are solely responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before it is submitted. AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. We recommend reviewing your first several applications manually.
8. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all personal content you provide (resumes, profiles, cover letters). We retain ownership of the JobApplier.ai software, brand, and documentation. AI-generated content produced by the Service is owned by you.
9. Data & Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will result in job interviews, offers, or employment. Application success depends on many factors outside our control, including employer hiring criteria, job market conditions, and the accuracy of your profile information.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, JobApplier.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or employment opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless JobApplier.ai from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
13. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard or by emailing support. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior, with reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days and then permanently deleted.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
